Hamna Shida House
Hamna Shida House is a scholarship house founded and fully supported by Worldview. Four of our scholarship recipients currently are in residence. Daniel, Luka and Elibahati all attend Fikiria Kwanza Academy on scholarship. Happyness currently attends Nshupu Village secondary school. Worldview rents the facility and pays all living expenses and medical care for all student residents. We have two house mothers on staff at the house; our general manager oversees the facility.
“Hamna Shida” means “no problem” in Kiswahili.
How You Can Help
- We need furniture for the Hamna Shida House; all furniture is made by the local ”fundi,” or craftsman.
- Student desk and chair – three needed $85 each
- Bookcase – four needed $85 each
- Clothes shelf – three needed $70 each
- Living room sofa $150
- Side chair – two needed $60 each
