Girls Empowerment Program

Worldview and TEKUA jointly have established a Girls Empowerment Program, which provides continuing education for unwed teenage mothers who are prohibited from continuing in the government schools. TEKUA staff interview and select program participants,. who maybe from distant villages. The girls’ families care fro their babies as the girls are boarding students. Five girls currently participate in the program; Worldview pays for their tuition, room and board, medical care, and other living expenses. The girls are taught all courses necessary for them to receive a government secondary school graduation certificate.
How You Can Help
The girls currently need Kiswahili to English dictionaries (five at $10 each), Bibles (five at $12 each) and gym shoes (five pair at $12 each).
