Our thanks go out to each of you for making the scholarship program possible. You are making a huge difference in the lives of these Tanzanians. Every student expressed their desire to say a big THANK YOU to each of you for helping them improve their lives and the lives of their families.

Hamna Shida House
A scholarship home completely supported by Worldview for students whose families are not able to provide them with education, healthcare and basic living necessities. These students are former residents of an Orphanage, although they all have a family member still alive. Worldview has met with each family member to work together for the good of the students.

SAWATA
I am in the process of developing a womens co-op in conjunction with HOCODECO Director, Blair Akilimali Alexander. The business will be called, SAWATA, which is an abbreviation of Support Women of Tanzania as spelled in Kiswahili. The women in this group are tailors, and jewelry makers. Worldview is providing funds to them for materials and sewing machines, and is paying them a fair wage for the goods they produce. You will all be able to see the first group of bracelets, necklaces and fabulous cotton robes made by these women at our fundraiser on June 17th. All of the women have children, but no husband. They are completely on their own for the support of their families. Women who teach others a skill that will enable them to make money, will be paid a good wage. Wait till you see the goods! Very nice! Authentic and beautiful items made by your “sisters” in Tanzania. And, remember, a purchase of these goods from SAWATA will help a woman support her family.
